Parents/Friends Remitting Payments: show/hide
|
Madonna University is introducing a new online payment
system. A new electronic check payment system (E-Check) will operate
using newly acquired software. In addition, in order to better serve
customers, the University has contracted with a third-party payment
vendor to provide online credit card payment services to our customers.
CASHNet® services colleges and universities
across the country, offers online help, email assistance, electronic
receipts and many other features and services that make the process of
electronic payments as easy and convenient to use as possible.

CreditCard Payments: show/hide
|
In order to assure that information is both private
and secure, a number of new procedures have been established. With
the use of Madonna University ID# and Pin#, payments remitted on
line are real time (recorded on the students’ record within
moments of submission). As a result of the effort to protect the confidentiality
and security of the student’s
data and financial information as well as speed up the process of recording
payments, the student may experience a few changes in how the university
is processing on line payments, including credit cards.

|
Real Time Payments for Parents & Friends: show/hide
|
For a payment to be real time the student must create a pin number
for their parent in the CASHNet® system. With your parent
number and the student’s ID #, the payment, either E-Check
or Credit Card, will be applied instantly once the authorization
process is completed. Once applied the funds cannot be refunded
without first applying to the University Cashiers Office for a
refund. The user will be warned if the payment is in the same amount
as a previous payment and give the user the option of canceling
to avoid making a duplicate payment. The new system also, enables
authorized users to view a history record of all payments processed
through the CASHNet system.

Parent Payments Without Parent Pin Numbers: show/hide
|
Parents may still remit payments on line without the use of a parent pin number.
However, you will not see the name on the account, any balance due,
nor past payment history. The payment will not be
real time and an additional 48 hours will be required before payments
are applied to the account. The additional time is needed for payments
without pin because the payment must be updated manually.
|
|
On-Line Credit Card Service Only: show/hide
|
Payments by Credit
Card may only be remitted on line. The Student Accounts office will
no longer be able to process credit payments at the service
window or over the phone.
|
|
New Choices in Credit Cards: show/hide
|
Madonna University
now accepts American Express and Discover along with Master Card. The
university NO longer accepts VISA Cards.
|
|
Service Fee: show/hide
|
Since Madonna University has outsourced
the processing of credit cards, a service fee will
be charged for the convenience of this electronic payment service through
CASHNet as shown below:
2.9% for payment from $0.01 to $3,000.00

Kresge Foundation Challenges Madonna University with $1.5 Million show/hide
|
In a generous endorsement of faith and trust in Madonna University, The Kresge Foundation has awarded us a $1.5 million
challenge grant to support the new science and media building. To receive the grant, we must raise $3.25 million by January 1, 2010. The
Kresge Foundation challenge grant is a great way for you to leverage your gift, and moves us closer to our goal, and receipt of the additional
$1.5 million. Whether it’s the police officer who helped you at the scene of an accident, the teacher who gave special attention to an autistic
child, the nurse who held your loved one’s hand, or the interpreter who communicated your good news to a Deaf co-worker, Madonna University
prepares students for careers that serve others. Funds from the Kresge Challenge Grant will ensure that the Madonna tradition of excellence
continues for generations to come. At nearly 60,000 square feet, this “green” building will provide the University’s growing science
program with laboratories that exceed nationally recognized standards for higher education, along with state-of-the-art production facilities
that meet the highly technical demands of the broadcast and cinema arts program. It is the first building in Livonia to be Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design-certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. |
